Hi! I’m Megan

When I first started my biology degree, I imagined a future spent in a lab, with a fairly narrow view of what biology could be. But over the years, my perspective has evolved. Studying everything from animal behaviour and marine biology to neurobiology, evolution, and conservation has opened my eyes to the incredible diversity and complexity of life on Earth—and how interconnected it all is.
Here at The BioBabbler, I share discoveries, insights, and deep curiosity about the natural world. You’ll find posts on sustainable living, animal behaviour, forensic biology, wellness, and more—all designed to make science accessible and exciting for everyone, whether you have a scientific background or are just starting to explore.
Beyond the classroom, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing biology in the field, travelling to places like Cornwall, the Eden Project, and the Isle of Mull in Scotland. These experiences have reinforced my passion for conservation and the need to protect our planet’s ecosystems.
Above all, I believe science should be for everyone. We all benefit from understanding how our bodies function, how ecosystems sustain life, and how scientific discoveries shape the world we live in. That’s why I aim to make complex topics engaging, offer evidence-based insights on common theories and trends, and encourage critical thinking—so we can all develop informed opinions and meaningful discussions.
I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to comment, share your thoughts, or connect with me on social media. Let’s explore the world of biology together, ask new questions, and discover the surprising connections that make life so extraordinary.
